Trail Updates

Wintertime on the Trail!
February, 2003

Did you know that you can use the Interurban Trail in the winter? The following communities clear snow off the trail.

  • City of Cedarburg

  • City of Port Washington

  • Village of Grafton

  • The remainder of the trail is open for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.

The Ozaukee Interurban Trail Advisory Council met on February 18, 2003 and elected new officers (see sidebar) and created new committees. New committees include:

  • Sustainability

  • Rules & Ordinance

  • Trailside Facilities

  • Public Relations & Marketing

  • Construction Update- The last section of the trail will be paved this spring when the County’s hotmix plant reopens.

Miller Ride for the Arts will utilize a portion of the trail the morning of Sunday, June 1, 2003

Trail maps are now available through the Ozaukee County Tourism Council (1-800-403-9898) or at our local community Chamber of Commerce. They are also available on-line at Trail Maps
